SAF Reference Material
The FLA has developed SAF reference material to help you and your colleagues prepare for the online SAF competence test. The reference material can be viewed online or downloaded as a PDF document using the links below.
Before attempting to take the test you should properly review the reference material as it covers the full test syllabus including the motor finance products sold in showrooms and the regulation that governs how finance is sold. As well as the legal rights of finance customers. The reference material is also an invaluable guide to refer to whist at work.
The Certificate of SAF Competence, awarded to individuals who have passed the SAF competence test (and are therefore SAF-certified), will expire after 12 months and must be renewed. If you are retaking your test, you should revisit the reference material beforehand as it is constantly updated to reflect the latest product and regulatory changes.
