Details of a free webinar outlining pathways to developing your career in motor retail finance.

Following on from our Professionalising the Sale of Motor Finance webinar held earlier this year, we are holding a free webinar on 10 November (details below) tailored towards motor finance and retail professionals that want to learn more about the professional qualifications and pathways that can help them develop their careers.

We will be hearing from professionals from both the motor finance and retail sectors that have passed the Level-3 Certificate for Automotive Finance Specialists (CertAutoFS). The panellists will cover:

  • the benefits of taking professional qualifications, such as CertAutoFS for individuals and businesses
  • ways employers have supported and assisted with professional development
  • why professional development is so important in the current and future motor finance retail market

Speakers

Adrian Dally, Director of Motor Finance and Strategy, Finance & Leasing Association
Adrian Dally is Director of Motor Finance and Strategy at the Finance & Leasing Association (FLA). Before joining the FLA, Adrian spent 26 years in the Civil Service in Whitehall and diplomatic roles, specialising in a number of areas including financial services, consumer protection, rural policy, competition and the European Union. Among other things, he was a UK negotiator in the EU institutions and private secretary to two cabinet ministers. His last role was at the Financial Ombudsman Service, where he was its Head of Policy.

Derek Knight CertAutoFS, Group F&I and Sales Process Manager, Porsche Retail Group Ltd
Derek Knight is the Group F&I and Sales Process Manager for Porsche Retail Group (PRG), the Manufacturer owned retail arm in the UK. Derek has been with PRG for more than 10 years and in his current role for nearly two and a half years. Derek's career has mainly been in motor retail and includes experience with only German brands and his first outing with Porsche during the .com boom and millennium bug scare. His current role touches many facets of the business including full responsibility for F&I process and performance, business partners, compliance, mentoring of sales people and managers.

Lee Rowlatt DipAF CertAutoFS, Territory Manager, Northridge Finance
Lee Rowlatt started his career by completing an apprenticeship in Electronic Engineering, and from there he progressed to Regional Sales Manager.
He has held sales and account management positions at a few different companies in and around the motor industry, before joining Northridge 4 years ago as a Territory Manager.
